We had the most amazing day, we look so relaxed in our wedding photo’s
which shows what a fabulous job you did! All the staff at Ham Manor
have spoken very highly of you and said that it was such a pleasure to
work with you. I know that Anna found is so refreshing to have a
toastmaster that was informative, flexible and discreet. In fact all
guests said you were very helpful.
Having watched the DVD it really highlights how much you did on the
day. I had forgotten you tending to my veil as you saw it was not on
correctly and would look out of place in the photo’s. Your attention to
detail is fantastic, you don’t miss a trick. In fact I think I need you
everyday!
I would not have to think twice about whether a Toastmaster is needed
at a wedding, actually I would if it wasn’t you. My niece wants to have
you when she gets married, she has yet to find a groom mind you!

Dear Geoff
We would like to thank you so much for what you did for us on our
wedding day. We can categorically say that the day would not have been
the same without you.
I remember asking you one question early on and you turned to me and
said “that’s in hand Sarah”. After that I let myself sit back and
enjoy what was the best day of my life knowing that you had absolutely
everything under control.
What was also nice is that you were really a part of our day as all of
our friends and family commented on how lovely you were and how you had
everything under control. You made yourself very approachable so if
any friends or family had any questions no-one had a problem in coming
to ask you.

Having Geoff as our toastmaster was the best decision we made
throughout all of our wedding preparations. Geoff was there every step
of the way, at our side helping us plan the running of the day and then
during the day itself, organising everything to the finest detail.
His friendly and un-intrusive manner meant that it felt like we had an
old friend joining us on our special day. He resolved any queries that
were raised before and during the day and ensured the day ran like
clockwork.
Weddings are expensive occasions, but Geoff was the best value for
money ever! We're already recommending him to all of our friends! Thank

Hi Geoff
Since the wedding we’ve had some lovely thank you letters from a number
of the guests, and comments from the more local people, and I think we
all agree that the day couldn’t have gone any better. As you say in
your letter, a lot a credit must go to Nat & Richard for the time
and effort they put in planning the day – as I said in my speech Nat’s
a very determined, single minded lady (albeit with a soft centre) and
woe betide anyone who didn’t follow a very precise schedule. That’s
not to diminish the vital part you played in making the day the success
it was – we’ve all commented what a wonderful job you did, and we’re
all agreed that you’re worth your weight in gold for the way you
handled the day – not only at the reception, but your attention to
detail in visiting Farbridge in the morning to check all was well, and
then coming to our house to check the finest detail, right down to
making sure the buttonholes were correctly and securely attached.
Once again, thanks for your lovely letter, and for all that you did to
make the day itself such a success – it’s certainly a day I’ll remember
for the rest of my life. I think we’ll have to come up with another
special occasion where we need a toastmaster.

Dear Geoff
Well Geoff it really was the best day of our lives together. The whole
day was quite magical and we both want to say how grateful we are to
you for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly and effortlessly.
Every one of our guests had a hugely enjoyable time and they really
seem to mean it when almost all of them say "this was the best wedding
we have ever been to". Our memories will always be a joy to us and when
we look at the fabulous pictures on Andrea Sarlo's website you will
notice that the whole day was full of smiles, love and laughter; this
is definitely what we remember about the whole day and we are still
smiling! We are fully aware of how you made sure that everyone knew
what was going on and where they should be,
especially in a venue with so many rooms this was probably quite
difficult to achieve, but the result was perfect, so may we say " You
made our Special Day more Magical".

Emma and Dean – 29th May 2010 – Holiday Inn, Gatwick. It was six weeks to our wedding date and all the arrangements were more or less sorted, however I saw an advert in the local paper about a wedding fair and decided to go along and see if we could get any additional ideas. On our way out of the fair Geoff, dressed in full attire, stepped forward and intoduced himself to us. We had a chat and within five minutes I had warmed to him and knew I had to find a way to budget for a toastmaster (Geoff) on my special day. I have to say that Geoff was very conscientious and went more than the extra mile to ensure that our day ran smoothly and he soon picked up that I was a control freak! But knew how to handle me, even when I started crying because it was raining, his smile and warmth shone through and so many people commented on what an asset to the wedding he was. Even though we planned our wedding on a budget, it was more than worth finding the additional funds for a toastmaster on our day, it wouldn't have been the same without Geoff. I have recommended him to everyone who says they are getting married and now can understand why Geoff is so busy - word of mouth is the worlds best advertiser. As stated above I have recommended you to anyone who says they are getting married in this neck of the woods and I would just like to thank you personally for helping to make our day so special. Wendy Ellis-Stafford – 10th July 2010 – Charity Event - Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow. Geoff came to our rescue, with around 3 months left before our big night. We had organised a Charity Black Tie Ball with all the proceeds going towards Help for Heroes. This has been our project for around a year and with everything set in place, we thought we were home and dry, only to find our auctioneer / speaker pulling out. After a day or two on the internet and lots of phone calls later we had found a Toastmaster. Mr Geoff Cornwell our knight in shining armour. He did mention on our first meeting together, that this would be his first auction, however felt confident enough to give it his all. Which was what he did. He was supportive and funny. He led the organisation, aiding the smooth running of the evening and helping us to generate a whopping £67,000 on the night. If we ever do anything like this again - I would like to think we can involve Geoff again. So if you need him, you better book him, as I am sure he will be in great demand. Emma and Rob – 4th August 2010 – Parley Manor, Christchurch. Dear Geoff We really could not have had such a lovely day if it wasn't for you. I did not have to worry about a thing. I think that, as I knew you were going to be there, that is the reason I was so calm for the lead up to our big day. Everyone of our family and friends who were there during the day have raved about you, all saying that when it was time to say goodbyes to you it was like saying goodbye to a friend. Donna and Bryan – 14th August 2010 – Novotel Hotel, Southampton. Hi Geoff Bryan and I wanted to thank you for making our wedding day such a fantastic day and completely stress free (not many brides can say that). You were a complete star and we would have been lost without you and by far you were the best decision we made for our wedding day. We thought it was great that you came to our house 2 weeks prior to the wedding to get every detail just right and to make sure the day went how we wanted. You even took the time to travel to our church and reception hotel with us to make sure our day would be perfect and you really reassured us that it was all under control and would run smoothly. On the wedding day you were great from start to finish, you were a life saver for the men as you tied their cravats for them, you made sure all our guests were seated in the church before my bridesmaids arrived, met me out of the horse drawn carriage with your umbrella and even straightened out my dress before I walked down the aisle. You were very helpful with arranging the photos and making sure we were sticking to our planned times. We were really impressed by your professionalism throughout, so many of our guests commented on what a lovely man you were and you were in no rush to leave. When we wanted anything or had any concerns you sorted the issues immediately. You blended in to the day so well that I thought of you as being another family member and the kids thought you were wonderful. Lois and Keir – 18th December 2010– Handcross Park School. One of the first things I was advised when planning the wedding was to hire a toastmaster, as they ensure that not only you, but your family can enjoy the day and handle all of the ‘administration’ during the day. Geoffrey did this and more. I emailed Geoffrey having stumbled upon his details on the English Toastmasters Association website and within half an hour, Geoffrey had called me, gone through plenty of invaluable information and booked my fiancé and I in for an initial meeting. A few months prior to the wedding Geoffrey came to my Dad’s house and spent a good hour and a half going through the finite details of the day, giving us tips and advice (including speech and Usher advice) and even walking round the wedding venue with us. Having spent the past 6 months panicking about the smaller details and the running order, after an hour with Geoffrey I was a calmer, happier version of my former stressed self! The day itself was always going to be a challenge as it started snowing heavily on the Friday and we woke up to a full blizzard on the morning of the wedding. With only one usher present (as the groom and the remaining ushers were all stuck in the snow), Geoffrey helped to greet our guests at the Church and ensure that everything was under control. Once the groom and remaining ushers arrived, he fitted all of their cravats and ensured their buttonholes were positioned correctly and even ensured that I was perfectly arranged when I arrived at the church (having been squeezed into the emergency 4x4 that replaced our wedding car!). Following the service, Geoffrey dashed straight to the reception venue and by the time Keir and I arrived, he had ensured all of our guests had drinks and canapés and were where they were meant to be! Our wedding day went perfectly, which in light of the conditions is a miracle and is testament to Geoffrey. One of best compliments I can give is that on the day itself, I (unfortunately) didn’t see much of Geoffrey apart from when he was doing the announcements and my bridesmaid approached me afterwards and said ‘your toastmaster was amazing. He was running around behind the scenes, sorting everything out and deserves an award for organisation-he even looked after the grannies!’. The fact that I didn’t see much of him, showed how busy he was arranging all of the staff and timings and guests and caterers and everything else on the day, which otherwise would have fallen to me or my family. I honestly cannot thank Geoffrey enough and would hire him in a second if I had my day all over again. Keir and I are so grateful of his calming influence, superb organisational skills and for being part of our day...which for Geoffrey didn’t end until 10pm! I would recommend Geoffrey to any bride...his input will enable you to enjoy the often stressful build-up to your wedding and more importantly he will ensure your wedding day itself is perfect.

We both felt much calmer knowing you were in control! From feedback we have received, it seems that the event was very well received. Dear Geoff Darren and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for us in the lead up to our wedding and, most importantly, on the day itself. As Darren said in his speech when we booked you we imagined that we would be hiring the services of "just" a toastmaster - little did we realise what an invaluable source of support and help you would be! We knew from the first time that we met you at the wedding fair that you had to be there and we weren't wrong. The meeting at our house was so helpful and you made us both feel more confident about the day as we knew that you would look after the finer details - your crib notes for speeches, buttonholes and general wedding etiquette were passed around and were very useful! You were perfect during the day, sorting out the boys' cravattes, sitting everyone in the church and then organising our photos. At the wedding breakfast you were discreet and highly professional and both Darren and I knew that if we needed anything we only had to ask. Many of our guests both at the wedding and afterwards have commented on how wonderful you were and the little touches you provided made the day so memorable. Just wanted to say thankyou so very much for your fantastic service on our wedding day. You made the day run so smoothly and I really felt like everything was taken care of. I will admit, as our wedding was so small (only 35 people) I had some people question the need for a toastmaster, but after meeting you everyone said what a brilliant idea it was!
Nothing was too much trouble, from fetching a chair for Liam's grandma, to reminding me to throw my bouquet. You made me feel very looked after and I did not worry about anything on the day. You were so friendly, it felt almost like you were part of the family.

On Sunday, we returned once again to a regular venue of ours - Fanhams Hall in Ware, Hertfordshire. This time, the wedding took place indoors (as the weather was changeable and rain seemed to be in the air) but as a string duo it was easy for us to move around to various locations within the venue. It was also a real pleasure to encounter Geoffrey Cornwell a toastmaster who presided over the day with a most professional and helpful approach. Geoffrey was a perfect gentleman and allowed the day to run really smoothly. We played a wide selection of music which had been hand picked by the bride and groom. During the wedding breakfast, we were able to make use of the balcony area which is located in the main hall and this allowed the music to project effortlessly throughout the meal. You made us feel really relaxed and gave Steve the confidence to actually do a speech, which I am sure he would not have been able to do if it wasn't for your guidance. So many of our family and friends commented on your professionalism throughout the day. Nothing was too big or too small for you to do. We cannot stress enough how much people should have you as their toastmaster, its not until you get lost in the day that you realise how much you need a calm head to keep things running smoothly. Sherie and Rob - 29th December 2011 - Chatsworth Hotel, Worthing.
